Dwarf Hamsters!

Accesories

When Choosing a wheel, ALWAYS avoid the ones with wire bars and the ones that are not solid. Or, if you have gotten those already, waeve ribbon or cardboard through the bars. Wire bars can break your hamsters legs, and cause severe accidents.

When choosing hideout places, choose ceramic or plastic ones that are hard to chew, and choose the size appropriate for your hamster, you DO NOT want to have your hamster stuck in a small squeezing place.

FOOD BOWLS

Always chosse well built, sturdy bowls, such as ceramic or earthenware types. Hamsters are known to chew on your precious cheap plastics, and the food will spill.

Water

Whan you buy your water bottle, always make sure there is a way to hang it in your cage or aquarium. If you have chosen the aquarium or plastics for a cage, buy velcro (Cheap, $3.00 or more) to hang it in the aquarium. Otherwise, use rubberbands as a hanger for wire ages. Always measure the height of your hamster, and hang the water bottle in the appropriate level for your hamster to drink. It is also easy to hide a small tray under the water bottle hidden in the bedding to clean up any spills. Just take the tray, and empty out the wet bedding.
